I've recently become pretty interested (maybe obsessed) with researching earthquakes. I've found little information on foreshocks, but I was wondering how common are they and are they usually very small in comparison to the actual size of the quake? I know they don't ALWAYS occur before a quake..I also know the great Chilean earthquake had a foreshock of about 7.9, but that quake was a 9.5. Say for about a 6-7 quake? It might be impossible to answer, as I know the predictability of earthquakes in general are already vague. Any info at all--even pertaining not directly to my questions would be nice. Thank you.

How to reinforce a bouncing floor??

I'll try to answer this best i can, not great at metric measures. To reinforce a bouncy floor you can do one of two things: 1.)sister the existing floor joists using construction adhesive and spikes or heavy screws. 2.) Install a Iron eye-beam perpendicular to the floor joists and support this with adjustable posts (meant for supporting an eye-beam) every 5-6 feet apart. This will definitely stop your floor from bouncing, and will allow you to retain the floors strength.

Strep throat, scarlet fever in a 6 year old?

My 6 year old was diagnosed with Strep Throat 10 days ago. He finished his antibiotics today. He hasn't had a fever or sore throat for 8 days. Today he started itching and developed a rash on his face first then it has appeared on his back,stomach, arms, legs, hands and feet. No fever and no sore throat. Could this be scarlet fever even though he finished his antibiotics for strep? Or is it most likely something else? Calling Dr in the morning (hopefully she isn't on vacation for New Years Eve) but just wanted to see what the opinions are here on if it might be scarlet fever or not since the fever isn't there but was there 12 days ago until about 8 days ago (fever was 103-104).

No. Part of what made his death such a big deal was the fact that he died so young and (at least to us fans) unexpectantly. Had he died when he was in his 80’s, especially of cancer, it would not have come as a shock to us. And many of us are guilt ridden over that. And what makes it all the more worse is that he died so lonely and unhappy. If we could’ve looked back at his life and said at least he was happy, we wouldn’t feel this depth of pain. After all, when you really think about it, the cruelest death of all is one where you die alone and unhappy.

However, there are ways that a person who is self employed can do a Sec. 125 plan where they withhold a certain amount for the year, taken each payday and then can pay from that account. Understand that it has to be a completely separate account and at the end of the year the money goes back to business. But it is way over my head, but that might give you information to ask someone who does know. I don't know if a certain number of employees is required or not. I just heard someone who owns a real estate office indicating that they put money into the account -- I did it when I was working - but if the money was not used, it went to the employer. With being self employed that is not so bad as it goes to the business. But there may be restrictions. I have no idea about what the guidelines are, but hope this gives a way for future - after some research or some tax advice.

I've been reading about CPU clock multipliers and I'm really confused. If a CPUs advertised clock speed was 3.0ghz but you had a really slow front side bus would it make it less than 3.0ghz? Is 3.0ghz just the approximate speed? In other words, does your FSB speed affect the advertised CPU clock speed I read that CPU speed=CPU multiplier x FSB speed. I think you will be just fine...you have moderate myopia and you are in your early 20's...if you have had it for 15 years and you are only at -5.00 now you can relax and rest ured as that is a normal thing (for myopia to progress between the ages of about 10 and 20 and then to stop). There are complications ociated with high myopia (over -8.00), but even that is not very common. To be blind you need a whole lot more minus than -5.00, I know someone who is -23 and they still have perfect corrected vision with contacts. So relax! It is a good idea though to have your eyes checked however because you say your pupils look dilated, but some people just naturally have larger pupils it could also be a side-effect of one of your medications for your seizure disorder. If you are still wearing contact lenses, you need to stop though as without having someone checking your eyes at least once a year whilst wearing contact lenses you could get infection and actually lose your sight that way. You don't say how you feel your vision is deteriorating. Are you battling to read things up close or is it seeing things in the distance? If it is up close that actually means your eyes have gotten better! If it is distance, it could just mean your specs need updating! Good luck!

Hey there, i was just curious about a certain phone plan. i currently use alltel wireless and have a prepaid phone. i love the coverage, get great signal, but i want a smart phone. and on alltel's network you HAVE to have a "Smart plan" when i add up the plan plus unlimited messaging, it comes to about 100 a month with tax and everything, for just me.. im not really wanting to pay that much. with AT&T you dont have to have a smart plan to have a pda or smartphone. so we're lookin more around $59. plus tax. anyway.. when you sign a two year contract (i'm a 20 year old male) do they require a deposit? alltel wanted 300 from me.. if you look papers on world projections for the next 50 years Iraq is having a baby boom right now so in another 2 decades there will be a youth surge like the one going on now in Iran. Basically we needed to get to Iraq before they could become a threat themselves or prevent Iran from going in there and taking over and by being in Afghanistan it is sandwiching Iran so after a few more years of sanctions we'll be able to go into there and take over that country which will give us a nice backdoor entrance into Russia and China if any conflict should arise from them . I have never trained in Kyokushin, but Im a 3rd degree BJJ Blackbelt, and have been doing KB for years. KB is great because you leanr to strick and throw GREAT kicks. I have also been doing Muay Thai which is what I would suggest. As it teaches inside clinch as well which is great.Similar to dirty boxing but allows use of knee.

I don't understand what the point is of having boxing and all this other crap. MMA is just like street fighting. If you were in a street fight would you just only use boxing or kickboxing? OF COURSE NOT! MMA has all aspects of fighting and it is true fighting. I am more impressed with an overall fighter vs. a fighter that is only good at one aspect.
