What does the Bible say about tithing? Is it at all tithed to Purgatory? Can God be Robbed?

Jesus was unconcerned about tithing. He warned (parable of the talents) that we robbed G-d and ourselves by not using the gifts given us. To Him, the old woman who gave her last pennies was more worthy than the rich man who gave a huge sum that he could easily spare. Purgatory is well-accepted as a place where the not-so pure reside before Judgment Day, and is not connected with tithing, which is an Old Testament conceit.
