Is writing my crush an anonymous note creepy?

I'm madly infatuated with this amaaazzziiinnngg girl at school. Im a very introverted person and extremely shy around girls, especially around one that i cant keep my mind off of. My friend told me i should write her an anonymous letter signed "your secret admirer" or something on the lines of that. For a girl in high school, would that be creepy? I mean i wouldn't use words like "i love" or something like that since its IS creepy and love is a very big word that should not used casually. I asked some girls and they said they would think its cute and sweet. Although if i do, and she likes it, should i follow up? i was thinking about writing one letter a week, each letter giving her more and more hints of who iam. the first letter would consist of my feelings towards her. And if she doesn't like it or laughs at it, does that mean i have absolutely no chance with her? PLz heelllppp.
